Two Challenges, One Card

With this card, I'm combining two challenges. At The Cuttlebug Spot, the challenge was to use Brown with either Blue or Orange or both, and this layout is from MojoMonday. I made an A2 size card using brown card stock and topped it with orange card stock embossed using the Spots & Dots cuttlebug folder. The patterned paper is called Retrogrunge... I downloaded it from Designer Digitals. The image is from Stampendous, colored with Prismas and OMS and then cut using Nestabilites small classic oval. The blue scalloped oval was cut at 2" using my Cricut with the Storybook cartridge. I added a little ribbon, brads and pop dots. Hope you like it.

Okay, I survived my first post...here are a few of my favorites.
Now that I've got the hang of things, I'll post as I complete projects, and I'll include details on how they were made.

My First Blog Entry

I received a Cricut Expression for Christmas 2008. Since then, I've become obsessed with making cards. I've learned a lot through message boards, websites and other people's blogs...so I thought I would try another "new" and create my own blog. I'm doing this mainly to catalog the cards I make and share when I stumble onto something new. Hope you like my cards.

This is my first card. My neighbors made my family an awesome lasagna to have on the day we brought my husband home from the hospital after knee surgery. A 'Thank You' note was the perfect opportunity to try my hand at card making...I've been hooked every since!
